    Thank you for using the Adolescent Sexual Health Toolkit in your work with youth. At ICAH, we are committed to bringing you information on a variety of topics and have included information on upcoming training’s and funding opportunities. Please refer to those sections immediately upon receiving this update.

     

    Additionally, the new resources are easily accessible for your use and can be found in the new section and on the front page of the toolkit. Remember the old resources continue to be beneficial, so continue to use that information in your organizations!

     

    Reminders and Announcements:

    Outside of Chicago -

    We have training’s available for scheduling with school personnel for free through our contract with the Illinois State Board of Education. If you do not work in a school, but want to take advantage of this opportunity please talk to your local school partners for a training collaboration. The session is free and we hope to reach as many educators as possible in the next three months outside of Chicago. Call or email Vivian Barrett at ICAH at 312 427-4460 x.228 or

    In Chicago –

    We have a few trainings scheduled for Community Based Organizations staffers on a variety of issue areas. Please take advantage of them by registering online today! Registration deadline is November 16, 2010. Take a look at the flyer attached for all details! Nov. 18th Healthy Relationships and Skill Building for Sexual Health Education, Nov. 29th LGBTQ Issues and School Safety, Nov. 30thSexual Health Skill Building. All sessions are in the afternoon and accessible for wheelchair access.

     

    In Chicago –

    If you are interested in co-hosting a workshop for parents to increase their understanding of adolescent development please contact us. We are interested is holding a few sessions for parents, particularly in Englewood, Roseland, Humboldt Park and North Lawndale.     Lending library of sexual health education curriculum –

    We have a wide variety of sexual health education curricula available to loan to providers and teachers across the state.
